Does Tithing Bring You Favor?

Many people put a lot of stock in tithing, many put their salvation on the line with their personal stances. Through the haze we see the Elephant sitting here, no one wants to talk about it for fear it can get blood boiling, but it should be talked about and it should definitely be discussed on a regular basis. Ryan and Stephen along with special guest Frank Bargerhuff dissect and come at this issue of tithing and the modern church with open minds and calm hearts to discuss this Elephant inthe Pew on Tithing.

“When we are driven by the principles of giving from the New Testament, the after-tax question becomes irrelevant. God’s people should try to find ways to give more, not less.” –David Croteau.

Stephen:  I think that it is laughable that we as Christians put so much effort and time into figuring out the right amount of money to tithe to the church.  Who gave us this money?  Who gave us the time to make the money?  Who gave us the ability to make the money in the first place?  GOD.  So whether it is 1% or 80% that we give, as long as we keep in mind that we are just giving God’s money to the church then why do we stress about it?  If we all come at it from this angle of its not my money to spend then we can easily give the money to the work for God’s kingdom.
