PTSD and the Church

In a way the church is the ultimate over-looker. Though God has often took the “least of these” approach and showed us what to do with the hurting and lost; we, the church, often find ourselves in this game of looking past the unfortunate and in need and replacing it with our own troubles and woe. We don’t necessarily have answers, but we do have questions that should be asked and thought about. This Elephant in the Pew is one that has no easy or quick fix or answer, butnonetheless needs to be addressed. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and how the church can address it and even help deal and cope is a major Elephant in the Pew.
